That is Bahasa Indonesian for:
to all of you dear family and friends.
We finally made it and sailed into a small bay surrounded by reefs in Pulau Manggwandi, to the east of Biak Island last night at sunset.
We are still on the northern side of Papua and we still have 350 miles to beat into the westerlies before we reach Raya Ampat.
But today we have spent the day getting Lumbaz ready for Christmas Eve and we will have a nice dinner with Lobster and Yellow fin Tuna sashimi.
We will then head into the village of Manggwandi. No one speaks English here and our Indonesian is below any successful communication capacity.
But everybody is friendly (and very shy) and since they are all Papuans (not Indonesian) they are catholic and we will attend their service tonight.
We look behind into this year and we feel thankful to have had the chance to meet some incredible people and see some amazing places.
Everything has been good and safe, we have had fun times, some challenging ones as well but we are grateful for what we have.
But specially on an evening like this, we long for family and friends, and wish we could be with you. So please, know that we are all thinking about you and wish we could hug you.
We wish you all the best for this Christmas Season and hope to have a chance to see you not too far away in time.
Nils, Noa, Luna, Ainara, Eugenie and Daniel
