HAPPY NEW YEAR
After sailing 1500 miles with the wind on our nose we are happy to be in Raja Ampat, where we just arrived on the 31st to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Friwin a beautiful village with very nice people. We had fireworks, dancing and a beautiful parade with all the men and children playing “tambur” home made drums.
That was a big surprise and a great start of the New Year. Salamat Bahu Baru!
We are thankful for this amazing past year, full of life experiences and family adventures. We have loved to be in remote places where we have met the most extraordinary people, where life is simple but a life adventure every day, where the basics are on the daily agenda.
We met strong people with their challenges of what to become in the future. We are thankful to have learned that much, to have had safe passages and a good health.
On the other hand we wish that all what we experienced will help us to contribute to a better world. It is going to be another year full of experiences and changes as we have to start working again and we hope to be able to continue with the values that we cheered during the trip, and that we will keep up with this wonderful way of life, thinking about the basics, trying not to forget the priorities.
